Beyond point of exhaustion

Just the week before I flew to Mexico, I broke my record.
I managed to work continously for 4 days and 3 nights without sleep!
I don't know how I've survived this. Maybe it has to do with the marathon gaming sessions I had when I was younger. Litres of coffee helped as well.

My bosses knew, but we are really short of manpower.
There was too much work to do, and I had to complete them before the flight.

Having to work for 2 days 2 nights straight is actually quite common, as the schedules are always very tight for this industry.
Most of the days, I finish work and reach home towards midnight, having to wake up at 6am to go to work again. Even on most weekends, it's the same process.

My in-laws and my kid came to Shanghai 2 months ago, so that my kid get to stay near her mom and dad. But I almost never get to see them because they are always asleep whenever I'm home. I get to see my daughter's cute smile only on rare occasions when I'm not at work. It's kind of ironic because I see them more often when they were in another city.
My work is taking too much time away from my family, and it's physically and mentally draining. On top of that, there's no OT pay for all these. Maybe it's time to look for a new job.
